AGC: Health insurance requirement would hurt small contractors

Small construction firms would be required to offer health insurance under an addition to Senate health care legislation. AGC opposes the measure, noting that the industry is struggling with soaring unemployment. "If Washington was looking for a way to push more construction workers into unemployment lines, the late-night amendment to the health care 'reform' measure does just that," said Stephen Sandherr, AGC's chief executive.
