AT&T, stations square off on wireless spectrum

In new FCC filings, AT&T and broadcaster groups offered contrasting views on the need to convert the stations' spectrum to wireless frequencies. AT&T argued that besides the country's dire need for additional mobile bandwidth, wireless carriers could put the spectrum to better use than the broadcasters. But a pair of station groups said enough 750-MHz spectrum existed without need to take the broadcasters' bandwidth.
