Educator: Teach literature in context with time period

A Massachusetts English teacher says lessons on Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" come alive for students through an annual Victorian Morning event that includes role-playing in costume. "I'm a big proponent of teaching literature in context with the time period it is set in," said teacher Peggy Taylor. "This gives the opportunity to immerse [students] in the time period."
