Novomer pumps up production for green food packaging

Boston-based Novomer is using an Eastman Kodak facility in Rochester, N.Y., to ramp up production for a pilot project using carbon dioxide in resin destined to be food packaging. Not only does the project keep the carbon dioxide from polluting the air, but the resulting compound is a better oxygen barrier to keep food from spoiling, says David Stoklosa, director of Eastman Business Park.
