Pianist develops program to teach students with disabilities

Beth Bauer founded Beethoven's Buddies five years ago to teach piano lessons to children with developmental disabilities. Bauer says she caters her lessons to the different needs of her students, including creating picture schedules and flash cards to identify notes for students who have difficulties reading. "Every child who walks through the door is capable of learning something," Bauer said. "It's my job to figure out how to make sure they do."
