WFP cuts Nepal food aid over lack of funds

Funding issues associated with the global recession have forced the World Food Programme to cut food aid to half a million Nepalis even as the country faces a serious shortfall in food production, WFP deputy country representative Dominique Hyde says. If the WFP is unable to quickly procure more funding, services to an additional 250,000 people might be cut.
