Embry-Riddle designs Eco Eagle for "green" flight

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla., competed in a "green" flight competition in October. The school created the Eco Eagle, a hybrid aircraft with two seats. The plane was one of four to complete a two-day NASA competition; it did not win because it lacked a required parachute system.
