AHIMA merges with medical coding association

The American College of Medical Coding Specialists and the American Health Information Management Association have merged in a move that will give ACMCS members access to more educational opportunities and job resources. "Joining AHIMA will provide ACMCS members access to a wealth of resources that ACMCS is unable to provide on its own, as well as a more influential voice in the future of the profession," said former ACMCS board of governors Chair Gretchen Segado.
