Commentary: Lawmakers vacation despite "fiscal cliff"

Columnist Randall Forsyth writes that despite concerns about the "fiscal cliff," Congress adjourned for the holidays. Forsyth explains that there are three possible reasons lawmakers feel comfortable taking a break at this time. One, all is well and a resolution will be forged between Christmas and New Year's. Two, an agreement won't be reached but a stopgap measure will be passed. Or, three, the nation will go off the cliff and Congress will busy itself in 2013 to try to clean up the mess.
