Mass., Singapore students learn math using similar program

Students at Howe-Manning Elementary School in Middleton, Mass., are learning math using a program called "Math in Focus: The Singapore Approach," the American version of a math curriculum known to students in Singapore as "My Pals Are Here." Individuals from the publishing company that produces the Singapore version recently observed a math class at Howe-Manning to find out how U.S. students are using the program. After the lesson, students watched a video of Singapore students learning similar concepts.
