Ohio mandates autism insurance benefits starting in 2014

Ohio will require insurance companies to cover services for children with autism beginning in 2014. Gov. John Kasich recently announced the move, which received praise from disability advocates and criticism from business stakeholders. Still, he says he will stay the course. "With early intervention, kids with autism do better at school, find employment and become more independent, connected adults in our communities," Kasich said.
