Primary care docs to get bigger Medicaid pay starting Jan. 1

CMS unveiled a list of primary care subspecialties that will get bigger Medicaid payments beginning Jan. 1 under the Affordable Care Act. Qualifying primary care physicians are estimated to get a 73% pay increase on average for the next two years, based on a recent survey by the Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured and the Urban Institute.
