Google's new AuthorRank is a system that tracks authors and determines who is influential. However, the content must be tied to a specific Google+ profile. With AuthorRank, Kitces writes, financial advisers do not necessarily need to create a valuable website of content, but instead become valuable creators of content "wherever it happens to be."
