Analysts believe the wireless mergers and acquisitions currently in play will bring the flurry of industry consolidation to a close next year as viable competitors to industry leading-carriers emerge. "What all of this is aiming at is strengthening T-Mobile and Sprint," Recon Analytics analyst Roger Entner said about T-Mobile USA's merger with MetroPCS and Softbank's bid to buy 70% of Sprint Nextel.
