How some Md. schools use food pantries to help curb hunger

Sixteen schools in Carroll County, Md., operate food pantries, and some officials say there is a need for more. One school converted a closet into a food pantry, which served 60 families last year. That number could spike next year, officials say, pointing out that 40 families already have visited the onsite pantry since school began this year.
