Jerry Seinfeld explains why bad is good for Acura

Acura's sponsorship of Jerry Seinfeld's "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee," includes a Seinfeld-created series of tongue-in-cheek ads for the carmaker that have received mixed reviews online. The ads are aimed at the "comedy geeks" who watch his show, so the commercials had to be weird to work, Seinfeld says. Advertising is much like standup, he says: "You've got to make this work in the first five seconds."
