ATA chief pledges "staunch support" for new DOT secretary

Hailing Rep. Ray LaHood, R-Ill., for his "evenhanded, thoughtful and deliberative approach to complex issues," Air Transport Association President and CEO James May says the secretary-designate of transportation "will have staunch support from our industry." Modernizing aviation infrastructure will be the new secretary's most pressing concern, May says: "DOT needs to implement workable solutions to airspace congestion and break away from the ideological, nonproductive experiments introduced by the current administration."
