Tennessee school receives breakthrough award

A Tennessee high school was chosen as one of 10 national Breakthrough Schools for 2009 by the MetLife Foundation and the National Association of Secondary School Principals. The school will receive a $5,000 grant, and officials there credit the effort of teachers and students for a boost in student achievement and graduation rates, which helped them receive the award.
