When competition fails, retailers see opportunity

As retailers go out of business or close stores, competitors try to attract their customers. Staples reassured consumers the company was going to stick around when Office Depot closed some stores, and when Sharper Image closed up shop, Brookstone gave a 25% discount to shoppers with gift cards from its competitor.
