FDIC's IndyMac asset auction draws lively interest

The auction of commercial real estate loans from the portfolio of the failed IndyMac Bank is drawing a surprising number of potential bidders. The assets to be offered by the FDIC are valued at about $1.1 billion. The many investors taking a close look at the loans are reported to include Texas banker Andrew Beal.
