Acer is said to prep $99 tablet, mainly for developing markets

Acer is expected to introduce a $99 Android tablet in early 2013, according to a published report, which says the device is aimed at competing with white-label products made by Chinese rivals for emerging markets. Acer will reportedly load the 7-inch "Iconia B1" with specs similar to Amazon's Kindle Fire HD with the price expected to vary depending on the country. It remains uncertain whether Acer will sell the cheaper tablet in the U.S.
