The birth of Jesus probably didn't go down quite the way many Nativity plays suggest, experts say. Jesus was most likely born sometime around 4 B.C. and almost certainly not Dec. 25, scholars say. What's more, he probably wasn't born in a stable, but rather in the spare room of a peasant dwelling.
