2014 will be the year of JavaScript, app developers say

JavaScript is gaining popularity with mobile application developers, 47% of whom said it was the most "relevant" programming language they use, according to a survey from International Data. Almost nine in 10 developers said JavaScript is likely to be the most important client- and server-side application development language next year, while the number who showed interest in building HTML5 applications fell to its lowest level since the survey began tracking the specification in 2011.
