Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., and Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., had a very good year, passing a bipartisan budget agreement and individually achieving several other key legislative goals. They certainly had a better time than Rep. Trey Radel, R-Fla., who capped his first year in the House with a cocaine bust, and Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., who staked his political fortunes on an immigration bill that flopped.
