Boston Medical Center approach to alarms gets results

Boston Medical Center has adopted a new approach to patient monitoring intended to minimize the risk of alarm fatigue and comply with new safety guidelines. Boston Medical Center did away with lower-level alarms to increase the speed of response for the remaining alarms, according to a report in the Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing.
