Chernobyl containment arch is a 2013 engineering feat of note

One of the greatest engineering feats of the past year is the enormous arch being constructed around the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. It is high and wide enough to contain the Statue of Liberty and three large airliners, while being airtight enough to keep radioactive dust inside until the damaged reactor is dismantled in 100 years.
