Mich. district seeks to replace fries with fresh potatoes

French fries and tater tots soon could be replaced with locally grown potatoes in a Michigan district. Caitlyn Joseph, farm-to-school program coordinator for the district, recently visited some schools, where she helped prepare potatoes cooked with olive oil and seasoned with fresh thyme, salt and garlic powder, as part of the Farm Fresh Food Days outreach program.
