Normandy, France, prepares to commemorate 70th D-Day anniversary

Tour operators, museums and historical sites in France's Normandy region are gearing up for the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings. Various aspects of the event will be highlighted through exhibits at several museums such as the Juno Beach Centre, the Merville Battery Museum and the Airborne Museum in Sainte-Mere-Eglise. Visitors may also gain insight on the region's deeper medieval history in places including the town of Caen, which houses a castle built by William the Conqueror.
