Study: High-fat diet affects body clock, raises metabolic risk

A study in the journal Cell found that a high-fat diet influences the body's circadian rhythm, which controls the liver's metabolic function, and in turn might result in metabolic conditions, including diabetes, obesity and hypertension. Researchers also found that circadian-rhythm changes are independent of obesity and determined solely by caloric intake.
