Device performs blood tests for up to 50 biomarkers in one go

U.S. scientists have created and evaluated a microfluidic tool that has the ability to screen for as many as 50 biomarkers simultaneously using a drop of blood. The device, called the V-Chip, triggers a reaction within vertical wells that moves the dye up the channel, with the distance traveled indicating the concentration of the looked-for substance in the blood. The test is fast and does not require additional tools for interpretation.
