New shot takes aim at dangerous visceral fat

Researchers at The Ohio State University's Comprehensive Cancer Center used thermogenic fat cells in an injection that successfully burned belly fat in obese mice eating a high-fat diet. The researchers hope the shot holds promise for humans fighting belly fat, which settles around vital organs and puts people at higher risk for cancer, cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
