School nutrition professionals in some Pennsylvania districts say they welcome the relaxed meal standards recently handed down by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. However, with calorie limits the same, some say the removal of limits on protein and whole grains will be seen in little ways, such as adding cheese to some sandwiches. Others say they plan to stay the course and adhere to the previous standards, which they believe will go back in effect next year.
