HealthCare.gov gets 2M hits after ACA deadline extension

HealthCare.gov received 2 million visits on Monday during an extended deadline to sign up for Affordable Care Act insurance coverage that will begin on Jan. 1. "Our call center received more than 250,000 calls as consumers were rushing to complete their applications," CMS spokeswoman Julie Bataille said. "We see this intense traffic as a sign that people are eager for affordable health insurance."
