Seventeen school districts in Minnesota are testing a new type of evaluation for teachers. The pilot program includes pre-evaluation discussions, chats about educators' strengths and weaknesses, and the establishment of performance goals. Educators describe the system as intensive, but constructive. "It's not meant to be a 'gotcha' kind of a situation," principal Cindy Hansen said. "It really is meant to be a helpful kind of conversation."
