Colo. firm may build first cellulose-based ethanol plant

PureVision Technology plans to build a $50 million plant in Colorado to become the first in the state, if not the country, to produce ethanol from cellulose by 2011. The state contains cornstalks, stover, switch grass, straw and other forms of the billion tons of biomass that becomes available every year in the U.S., enough to replace half the nation's consumption of gasoline.
