Barry Callebaut begins expansion in Asia

Barry Callebaut in January will open its first factory in China, where chocolate consumption is slowly growing. The Suzhou factory, with an expected output of 25,000 tons per year, will mainly serve trade buyers from the food industry, hotels and restaurants. The company also is considering expanding into the Indian and Japanese markets.
