Bayer unit recalls diabetes test strips

The FDA on Wednesday said Bayer AG subsidiary Bayer Diabetes Care has recalled about 230,000 bottles of diabetes test strips used with its Contour TS Blood Glucose Meter because they may lead to 5% to 17% higher blood-glucose readings. The company said the recalled test strips were manufactured using new equipment and that it has fixed the problem.
