Maryland district aims to give some students relief from testing overload

Some Maryland students have won a testing reprieve, as Montgomery County school officials have excused those who take Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or Cambridge exams from having to also take traditional classroom finals. "I thought we should give the kids a little relief," said Patricia O'Neill, a Montgomery school board member.
