Study: 20% of young teens will develop chronic abdominal pain

New research has shown that as many as one-third of girls and 13% of boys will develop chronic abdominal pain during their teenage years. Researchers named psychosocial and physiological links to the condition, including height, behavior problems and compulsive tendencies, but note further investigation is needed to understand the connections and the differences between genders.
