Chevron is fined an additional $5.4M over Brazilian oil spill

Chevron was fined an additional $5.4 million for an offshore oil spill in Brazil's Frade field. The fine was imposed because Chevron violated the conditions of its environmental license, Brazilian regulators said, adding that the company was slow in its spill-response operations. Regulators earlier fined Chevron $26.9 million for causing the incident.
