Conn. should consider propane as well as natural gas

Susan Rowan, whose family owns Rural Gas Co. in Connecticut, believes Gov. Daniel Malloy needs to consider propane in the state's energy plans. Malloy wants to convert as many as 300,000 homes to natural gas in the next seven years, but Rowan says propane should also be included since it is an approved clean fuel and provides consumers with a choice. "The government should not be in the business of subsidizing one fuel and in doing so jeopardize the future of others," she writes.
