Holiday meals pose danger for people with undiagnosed diabetes

Eating meals heavy in carbohydrates and fats puts people who are unaware they have type 2 diabetes at especially high risk for stroke and heart trouble, says endocrinologist and diabetes specialist Dr. Dale Hamilton. The CDC estimates that 7 million Americans have undiagnosed diabetes. Hamilton recommends blood glucose testing to assess diabetes risk.
