Nursing community urges U.S. gov't to end gun violence

More than 30 nursing groups have joined the ANA in its campaign to put a stop to senseless acts of violence, following the Newtown, Conn., school shooting. In a statement sent to President Barack Obama, congressional leaders, the National Governors Association and the U.S. Conference of Mayors, the groups recommended the need to boost access to mental health services and implement a ban on assault weapons.
