Fitch: Pa. decision on zoning policy will slow Marcellus Shale production

Shale production in Pennsylvania will be affected by the state Supreme Court's decision to reject a statewide zoning policy related to drilling standards for oil and natural gas companies, according to Fitch Ratings. "In our view, changes like these will slow the pace of potential revenue growth from oil and gas-related activities for both states and local governments as managing new local regulations will require some time," the company said.
