Job strain can lead to more hospital stays later in life, research finds

People exposed to high mental and physical strains at work tend to spend more days in the hospital later in life, according to a Finnish study reported in the journal Age and Ageing. Physical strain was linked to increased hospital days for both men and women, but mental job strain was linked to more hospital stays for men alone, the researchers found.
