Most of the U.S. House members representing California have signed a letter for Boeing to establish a manufacturing facility in Long Beach. However, a representative for Rep. John Campbell, R-Irvine, said it is "not the business of Congress" to say where a private company should operate. Rep. Tom McClintock, R-Elk Grove, who also did not sign the letter, said, "California is going to have to substantially reduce its tax and regulatory burdens before a letter like that is going to have any credibility."
Some lawmakers encourage Boeing to locate facility in Calif.
