Early engagement for mobile social advertisements looks promising, with Instagram reporting a recall lift of 33 percentage points for Ben & Jerry's following via paid ads, and a rise of 24 percentage points in recall for Levi's. Whether social mobile consumers will continue to recall brands at such high levels, or will decide to tune out the ads, remains to be seen. "Engagement at scale is the potential promise here, but we are a long way from proving it out," said Tiny Rebellion Chief Strategist Amir Haque.
