Foremost temporarily stops one Wisconsin plant's production

Wisconsin dairy cooperative Foremost Farms USA expects the recent layoff of some workers at its Buffalo County cheese plant to last more than four months. The company is temporarily halting cheese production due to "shifting cheese production and market trends," according to a news release. Foremost produces products under the GG Golden Guernsey Dairy and Morning Glory brands, and the Waumandee plant has produced American-style cheese in 640-pound blocks for more than 25 years.
