Speculation boom follows canal expansion plans to Panama

It's been nearly a century now since a massive infusion of U.S. capital and know-how created Panama and the canal that bears its name. Now, on the heels of a pending $5.2 billion plan to enlarge the canal, the speculative frenzy is off and running again. It's a "sure bet," investors say.
