Toronto redevelops housing project with goal of LEED certification

The city of Toronto is pouring $1 billion into rebuilding an inner-city housing project with a strong emphasis on sustainability. The 12-year project to redevelop the 69-acre Regent Park will include replacing 2,000 townhouse and midrise apartments with more than 5,000 housing units, all built to achieve LEED Gold certification.
